Spring 2017 More Thank Pink™ Drive


[TULSA, OK]– Woodland Hills Mall today announced its Spring 2017 More Than Pink movement in support of Susan G. Komen and the fight against breast cancer. As part of its pledge to donate $1 million each year in 2017 and 2018, more than 180 participating Simon Malls, The Mills and Premium Outlets nationwide will be participating in a range of activities during the months of April and May.

“It has been wonderful to see the positive response that the More Than Pink movement has generated over the past year,” said Eileen Neighbors, Director of Marketing and Business Development. “Our shoppers, retailers and employees have embraced the opportunities we’ve offered to support Susan G. Komen in its tireless efforts to reduce breast cancer deaths, and we look forward to continuing that momentum this year.”

Visitors to Woodland Hills Mall will notice the pink theme carried out in the Mall Office and staff will be donning pink accessories. The center’s exterior will also reflect the theme with pink lighting. Other planned activities include:

Discount Card Program: In exchange for a $10 donation to Susan G. Komen, shoppers will receive a Discount Card, available at the Mall Office located on the upper level by the food court, providing 15 to 25 percent off one item at each participating retailer. All Discount Card donations go to Susan G. Komen.

Hero Photo Opportunity: An ‘I Am More Than Pink’ backdrop will be used as a photo selfie station, now through May 31. All will be encouraged to use the hashtag #morethanpink

Indulge in Pink: Woodland Hills Mall is excited to host Indulge in Pink on Thursday, May 11 from 5 – 8 p.m. in Dillard’s and Center Courts. Just in time for Mother’s Day, the event will feature a DJ spinning party favorites and professional dance lessons provided by Allstar Ballroom Dance Company, as well as lite bites from Texas de Brazil and The Cheesecake Factory, sampling by retailers and freeze modeling showcasing the latest spring looks. The local Susan G. Komen affiliate will offer fresh flowers for donations and the first 300 women to check-in to Indulge in Pink will receive an exclusive swag bag with special offers and goodies. Project: OM Yoga Class: Manduka, a leading yoga mat and accessory brand, will host project: OM the world’s largest yoga class across the country, with 100% of all event donations benefiting Susan G. Komen. Woodland Hills Mall will host project: OM on Saturday, May 13 starting at 9:15 am for a series of 15 minutes classes taught by Inner Peace Yoga instructors in the lower level Dillard’s Court. The classes are open to beginner and experienced yogis, all that is required to participate is a yoga mat. To register, please visit www.manduka.com/projectom. A $10 donation will be collected online or at the start of the class and shoppers will receive a voucher to present at the Mall Office for a discount card for 15 to 25 percent off participating retailers.

As of April 2017, Simon has raised $441,667 in support of Susan G. Komen, all generated through the support and participation of shoppers, retailers and employees.
